This project required, full gut done to the framing, new framing, addition, underpinning, digging out for a basement and much more. The full array of our experience and expertise was put to the test on this one. It’s far to say though, that the final results are stunning. A crisp combination of authenticity to the original home while bringing modern elements into existence.

Summary
We definitely had fun in this main floor project! Sometimes you buy a property and you like the bones. You like some aspects of the features and decor. But your stamp is not quite there. You plan to make that upgrade later down the line. While trying to personalize the home, you want to absorb as much of the inherited decor as possible for the sake of not being wasteful and to help with cost as much as possible. This can be very difficult. I must say that this was achieved in this renovation though. No major walls had to come down and some of the previous Millwork and features were just painted. Working closely with the homeowners and always sharing knowledge with them so they can make educated choices and know their options always gets you a result like this. One you can be very proud of.

Summary
This project definitely was a challenge. But we can say we are extremely happy with the results! Unfortunately, in our industry at the end of a long project with many unforeseen challenges, the relationship between the builder and the client can become strained. However, we work really hard to ensure that never happens. One way we do this is by being honest! Too many times the builder/contracts set the wrong expectations or sugar coat things. That's something we definitely avoid. Sometimes it’s not easy to hear the potential negative side of a Reno but it’s important. However, our clients can rest assured that we have built a team with experience in overcoming unforeseen challenges and who can adapt quickly! Long story short, in this case, we pretty much required 2/3 of the home being rebuilt while the home was still standing. Needless to say it was exhilarating!! The final results speak for themselves.
